YOUR HELP IS NEEDED
We are at a point in time when we find it not just important to identify ourselves as caring about our society and fellow citizens, we are realizing that without that quality in our lives we will fail as a civilization. The Democratic Party places its highest priority in the service of a fair and responsible society. Locally, the Party has a core group of dedicated volunteers who work without pay to accomplish those Democratic goals. This does not come without cost, to provide information to those interested in being part of our efforts, promoting candidates both locally and nationally, reaching out to our very diverse community and supporting those values we believe are the backbone of our community.
All of our funding is self-generated through fund-raising events and private donations – we receive no financial assistance from the State or National Parties. We use these funds to promote voter participation, contact and encourage Democratic voters to get out to vote, maintain and administer Party offices in the community, and support the campaigns of Democratic candidates. Our staff is entirely comprised of volunteers – no one gets paid – so all funds go directly towards these critical efforts.
The Democratic Party of Lee County needs financial support in keep moving forward. If 34 people would be willing to pledge $50 per month, our operating expenses would be taken care of and would allow us to concentrate on the important task of promoting candidates and turning Lee County blue. We understand that not everyone can pledge $50, but consider $40, $30, $20 or $10 on a monthly basis. Please make an effort to do your part in making the people of Lee County matter.
