Reports to: CHAIR

Skills: Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and design including html5, css

• Experience creating social media content and analyzing responses (A/B testing, etc.)
• Familiarity with FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other social media platforms
• Ability to impart detailed information, in a clear and concise manner under tight time constraints
• Positive attitude, flexibility, understanding communications needs and time constraints
• Ability to create and edit press releases and other content in a timely manner

Activities: Maintain all DEC social media platforms

• Build team to manage all DEC social media platforms
• Disseminate information to the team across all social media platforms including the newsletter
• Create clear, interesting, effective copy
• Post communications in a timely manner and track responses
• Test different presentations for effectiveness and analyze results of campaigns
• Coordinate with CHAIR to maintain awareness of upcoming events and communications opportunities
• Coordinate messaging email (Constant Contact) to membership with CHAIR
• In coordination with EXECUTIVE SECRETARY and VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR maintain and update all mailing lists
• Inform CHAIR of new social media opportunities
• Act as Liaison with FDP Communications Staff

Time Commitment: 5 hours per week
