Democratic Party of Lee County, FL

From the Chair’s Desk – April 15, 2024

Florida Democrats,

Over the past weekend, hundreds of Democrats joined us from Miami-Dade to Suwannee County to take part in our Weekend of Action, focused on registering voters and re-enrolling them in Vote-by-Mail. This comes a few days after we launched our Take Back Florida Coordinated Campaign with the hiring of Lisa Peth as Coordinated Campaign Director. Thank you, all the elected officials, DEC Chairs, and volunteers, who participated and made this weekend a success.

This weekend, we also give thanks to President Biden — who reminded us why he must remain the leader of the free world, acting swiftly to defend Israel’s security and condemn the unprecedented drone and missile attacks from Iran. We are grateful for his leadership and join calls for the passage of bipartisan national security funding to protect democracy at home and abroad.

This week, Democrats from across the state will have the opportunity to vote for Delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Delegates are elected by Congressional District (CD), and you can find the list of candidates and voting locations for your CD here. Make sure you get out and vote on either Thursday, April 18th for early voting or Saturday, April 20th on Election Day.

Forward,
Nikki Fried
Chair
Florida Democratic Party
